Immerse yourself in Roatan’s local culture and history, as we drive around the island seeing and learning what makes Roatan the best. This is a great tour for people wanting to know more about the island’s culture while they get a glimpse of the amazing views (all while sitting in an air conditional van with an English speaking driver) as you get to know the place we call HOME.

Then, we’ll visit AJ’S Monkeys and Sloths Park where you’ll have a blast playing around with white-faced monkeys, hugging sloths, holding some beautiful birds and more. Finally, after all your animal fun, we’ll head over to one of Roatan’s many gorgeous beaches to finish off your day the right way. So, are you coming with us?

Amazing service great tour guides and also great driver. The monkeys and sloths were breathtaking! Beautiful birds and awesome place! It’s was worth it. I highly recommend it!!

This experience was one of the best things I have ever done. Interacting with sloths was high on my want list and they were absolutely adorable. I could not have loved it more than I did. All the animals were just so fun.
The staff at AJ’s was super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Also, our driver (Jensen) was wonderful and made our island tour interesting and fun. This experience is an MUST!!

AJ’s Monkeys and Sloths was an exceptional outing for our family of 7! Opting for the Behind-The-Scenes Island Tour, we were warmly greeted by Tex just outside the cruise terminal. His vibrant energy and wealth of information made him a standout in the AJ’s family. Aboard the air-conditioned bus, we headed to the sanctuary.

The small, private experience with the sloths and other animals, after a brief wait, was truly remarkable. Having personalized, one-on-one interactions with the animals allowed us to capture plenty of meaningful moments in photos. This exclusivity of the viewing alone is reason enough to choose this tour!

Our admiration for the sloths, birds, and monkeys only grew as each handler at every station shared fascinating facts and patiently answered all our questions (they were quite funny as well). The facility is impeccably maintained, and Ashley’s adept management ensured the entire operation ran seamlessly.

Following our time with the animals, Tex, our knowledgeable guide with deep roots on the island, took us on a captivating drive around Roatan. Exploring a private beach and indulging in a delightful chocolate factory tour added to the richness of the experience.

To anyone contemplating this experience, I cannot recommend it enough! Undoubtedly the highlight of our trip, this experience will be cherished by our family for years to come. Thank you to AJ’s Monkeys and Sloths!
